Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage MyGallery3D uses, why we use them, and the choices you have. For everything else we collect and how we handle it, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? Email contact@mygallery3d.com.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use localStorage, a similar browser feature that keeps small pieces of data on your device. Both help a site remember you between pages and visits. Neither gives us access to anything else on your device.

Strictly necessary cookies and storage

These are required for the site to work and are always on. They are not used for advertising and are not shared with anyone:

  • Sign-in session (cookies starting with "sb-"): keeps you signed in to your account. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase) when you sign in.
  • mg3d_eu (cookie, 24 hours): a simple yes/no flag telling our pages whether you are visiting from a region where a cookie consent prompt is required. It contains only a "1" or a "0", nothing about you.
  • mg3d_cookie_consent (localStorage): remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask you again.
  • mg3d:vid (localStorage): a random identifier used to count unique visits to published galleries. It is not tied to your name, email, or IP address, and it never leaves the gallery analytics feature.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you accept cookies in the banner, we load Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (which pages are visited, roughly where traffic comes from). Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with "_ga". If you are visiting from the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, these cookies are set only after you click Accept; declining or ignoring the banner keeps them off. We configure Google Consent Mode v2, so your choice is passed to Google and respected.

We also use Vercel Analytics for anonymous performance measurements. It does not set cookies.

Cookies set by gallery owners and embedded content

Some content on MyGallery3D comes from third parties, and they may set their own cookies under their own policies:

  • Gallery owner tracking: an owner of a published gallery can connect their own analytics (such as Google Analytics or a Meta pixel) to their gallery pages. Those tools belong to the gallery owner, and their cookie behavior is governed by the owner's own policies.
  • Embedded videos: product descriptions can include YouTube or Vimeo videos. When you play one, the video platform may set its own cookies.
  • Checkout: payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy on their own checkout pages, which use cookies needed to complete your purchase.

Your choices

  • The banner: if you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you can accept or decline analytics cookies when the banner appears. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
  • Browser settings: every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site or for all sites. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent signing in.
  • Google's opt-out: Google offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics everywhere, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Changes to this policy

If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be reflected in the consent banner where required.
